Growing up at a time when traditional Indian art was at the forefront, she was formally educated with a bachelors in fine art in the city of Meerut. With great enthusiasm and intent, she enrolled herself for post graduation in art, but had to drop out midway while still in her early twenties. Through a heart of an artist, she eventually built a family of creatives, with the next two generations actively participating in art and design ventures across the globe. With a childlike willingness to learn and make, she got back to the canvas as her second act, this time with a lifetime of experiences and a greater will you give, centering herself in her art through the oils she knew best. From the beginning, Kokil has kept communication central to her artwork. Reimagining the same elements of nature through the years, her canvas reflects time through her journey, made more profound through the evolving relationships with her family. She he tries to translate her emotions into colour, layering it with her observations to create a deeply personal exploration as she traverses through life.
